A single-junction approach.
In EnergyX's approach, the perovskite forms the light-absorbing material of the photovoltaic cell. The programme is centred on a single generating junction, rather than a perovskite junction added to a silicon solar cell.
The work extends beyond a laboratory result. Device performance, module design, reliability and application requirements must be addressed together before a technology can be deployed at scale.
Performance that matters in use.
Our development programme considers power conversion efficiency alongside stability, repeatability and the requirements of a finished application. The objective is to convert technical progress into products that can perform reliably under their intended conditions.
Buildings provide the first application context — every design answers to the conditions it will actually work in:
From device results to application performance.
We evaluate technical progress at the level of the tested device and the intended application. Published results identify the device, test conditions and verification basis so that cell performance is not confused with module or installed-system performance.
Preparing technology for repeatable deployment.
Industrial development requires consistent output, quality control and a product that meets the requirements of its application. EnergyX is developing the organisation and capabilities needed to move from technical progress to practical use.
