Sustainable design

The world is running out
of power. We build more of it.

AI, industry and cities are outgrowing the grid faster than it can be extended. EnergyX generates power at the point of consumption — integrating materials, AI and lifecycle operations into a single stack, so capacity arrives with the building instead of waiting on transmission.

"Removing energy as the constraint on what humanity can build."

From a bold idea to a global company.

2025 – Present

New programmes move to commercialisation

On an established base of 20,000+ buildings, EnergyX brings its next-generation programmes through commercialisation: perovskite photovoltaics within Foundry, verified engineering simulation within Intelligence, and the application of both engines to data centres. Growth capital expands manufacturing capacity.

2024

Going Global, Winning Big

EnergyX earned the Leadership in Energy and Industry Award at Saudi BIBAN, represented Korea at the Entrepreneurship World Cup Global Finals, and won the Korea Ministry of Science's Leading Innovation Grand Award. The year also saw a landmark partnership with Qatari Diar and listing among Korea's 1,000 Super-gap Startups.

2023

The EnergyX DY-Building

EnergyX completed the EnergyX DY-Building — its flagship, Korea's certified Plus-Energy Building, and the working proof of the integrated system — earning multiple national architecture and innovation awards. The company was featured in Forbes' Fast-Growing Startups 50 and expanded internationally with the launch of EnergyX Japan Inc.

2022

Billion-Dollar Milestone Reached

EnergyX surpassed $1 billion in total construction value and closed a Series B round, bringing cumulative funding to approximately $31.5 million. A strategic ESG partnership was formed with Shinhan Bank and Shinhan Capital.

2021

Licensed, Recognized, Unstoppable

EnergyX was designated a K-Unicorn representation by the Korea Ministry of SMEs and secured its Online Micro Securities & Investment Brokerage Services license. The company received multiple national awards across energy, management, and consumer brand categories.

2020

Funded and Future-Ready

EnergyX raised Series A funding, reaching approximately $11.2 million cumulatively, and obtained its Micro Electricity Brokerage Services license. The company was named one of the 13 Most Innovative Startups in the World by Startup Pill.

2019

Where It All Began

EnergyX was founded in February 2019. Within the year, the company launched its portal service and raised Pre-Series A funding, reaching approximately $3.1 million cumulatively.

Four principles that drive everything we do.

The convictions behind every material we engineer, every surface we activate, and every market we enter.

01

Verified decisions

Nothing becomes physical until it has been evaluated and verified — against engineering constraints, energy performance, manufacturability and cost. EnergyX Intelligence replaces guesswork with simulation, and we hold ourselves to measured results, not projections.

02

Physical execution

A verified decision is only worth what gets built. EnergyX Foundry translates it into a physical system — materials, integrated solar skins and fabricated forms — engineered for the building, its performance requirements and its manufacturing constraints.

03

Architectural integration

Solar should enhance architecture, not diminish it. Colour, geometry, texture and transparency are design choices, not concessions — a building no longer has to look like a solar project to be one.

04

Lifecycle performance

A building is a 50-year asset, and we design for it. Deployment, monitoring and optimisation keep it generating value for its entire life — and what we measure in the field feeds back into the next decision both engines make.

Sustainable design

BIPV: Solar that is the building.

Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) replaces conventional building materials — glass, cladding, roofing — with solar-generating equivalents. Unlike rooftop solar, BIPV is part of the building's structural and aesthetic design from day one.

EnergyX Foundry takes BIPV further — using DFMA methods borrowed from aerospace and automotive manufacturing to produce custom panels at factory precision and scale, then install them faster and with less site waste than any conventional approach.
